First of all, thank you for your response.

All went fine when I introduced the SysUtils.Abort in the TIB_Query.BeforePost event.

After resolve the bug, I cleaned the code of my program. Trying to send you the code that have failed I deleted the SysUtils.Abort instruction from the BeforePost routine and run again to confirm the error. Unfortunately (or not ?) it didn't happen.

I think that, among many tentatives to solve the bug, I coded a mass of instructions in many different events and, probably, they caused the unexpected bahavior.

Use the TIB_Query.BeforePos t event to test the value[s] concerned

and, on the first validation failure, call SysUtils.Abort to

terminate the Post without losing the values in the buffer.



It would help a lot if you would show us the BeforePost code that failed.
