Hi Mark

Thanks for the answer.

Unfortunately I have to use the .gdb extension because I am connecting to a database from a third part party.
I tried to use the IP address instead but without any luck.

At the moment I'm using "Data Sources (ODBC)" from windows 2003 and I assumes that it is running in 64 bit, so I don't think that the problem is because I'm connecting from a 32 bit application.
