But really i cannot find msvcp80.dll in the whole system and my app still works! (It's a Virtual PC virtual machine, can this mean something special?)

I checked fbembed.dll with Dependency Walker and it shows neither msvcp80.dll nor icuin30.dll as dependencies.

...going to try compiling fbembed.dll myself with dependencies statically linked - this hopefully reduces total size of dll-s.
