I would guess that msvcp80.dll has been installed by something else.
Check the SxS (Side by side) folder under windows.

I am always more conservative on things like this, i.e. it is better to
have a bit more/larger installer and it works then a smaller installer
which does not work in some situations.

If you distribute your software, e.g. as shareware, and it does not work
because you omitted something you will most likely not hear from the
user who is running into this problem.
