Nope. They do not have access to any of the database tools (IExpert,
IB_SQL, etc.)
To clarify: The databases are all on the FB server.
What I mean with the "stations" is that we have folders for each one
of the "stations" where their databases are located.
In our application used by support, when they need to access
a "stations" data, they get a menu of which of them are available.
The support rep selects the one they are interested in working and
the application goes to that folder/directory and uses those
databases from the server. But there are maybe 200+ of those
folders/directories. So, with many support reps, the server may be
serving databases from severeal folders at the same time.
The concept is that, when a customer calls in with a problem,
support can access a rather recent copy of that "station's" data and
see what the user is seeing, perhaps replicating or explaining the
errors or concerns.
BTW, I checked the recycle bin and there was nothing in there. :-(
