As I mentioned earlier "peer-to-peer" is irrelevant around Firebird. It cannot do peer-to-peer. So I suppose you mean there is a straight-through cable or a wireless connection between the two systems.

I don't believe you, sorry. A cpLocal connection does not work across a network interface and *none* of the IBO connection protocols makes it so.

You still haven't provided the connection string that your application uses.
