I am sure it's a windows message and not a FB message.
But, why sometimes works sometimes not... I think the problem could be
at a lower level than the TCP stack.
Install. My suggestion to put a linux box are for:
1.) Have a clean and controlled environment
2.) Have a machine just for database (as it should be)
3.) I will know what goes on that machine and could respond for that
4.) Get out of the arms of those admin guys
