This is a good place, and I thought I saw several answers. They can be
summarized as:

1) The limit is increased in Firebird2 to 1/4 of the page size.

2) Why are you using such a long primary key. There is a general but
not universal belief that primary keys should be artificial 64bit
integers that can be guaranteed stable.
