Hi Arno & Alexandre
Thanks again - adding an index resolved the problem as you said. 5 seconds
and 60,000+ duplicate records deleted later and the world is a much
brighter place !!!
I have created an SP and can now use "execute
deletedupe(:tablename,:whichfield) against any table.
