Thanks Helen:
I've got it now.
I'm used to Unix utilities, and their
uncompress - untar - run install script
way of doing things.
The embedded server was a big attraction,
and I gravitated to the embedded zip.
Now I've run Firebird-1.5.0.4306-Win32.exe
Perhaps I'm still missing something. The
choices offered by the install are super server
and classic server. If there is a selection
for an embedded server and development kit, as
described in the install notes, I can't see it.
Thanks
Larry
