I think the importance of this software lay in the fact you can develop a
system using the ADO interfaces of Delphi to FireBird/InterBase and then
convert your final database (without changing the datamodules) to Oracle,
Informix, MS SQLServer or anyone of those expensive ones. I tested it
between FireBird and Informix - no problems. But I will always prefer to
use FireBird in the development stage simply because the expensive ones will
kill my old Pentium II.
