Subject RE: [firebird-support] Re: Mac OSX install. What's the status?

I downloaded the version Darwin_CS_1.0.1_Release.tar.gz. It created the
firebird_install folder. I ran the installation as per the steps. It
threw an error during running installation. But it seemed like it
installed everything. So I went into the isql utility, it brings up the
SQL> cmd. Then I tried to run 'create database a'; It says statement
failed, sql code = -104. Also the install didn't create an ibmgr or
fbmgr. Could that be the issue? I really need to get this to start
running for my tests. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks
Roopali.

Roopali,
If you installed via the installer application everything should
be in
place. The most important piece is
/Library/Frameworks/Firebird.framework, which contains the shared
libraries, header files, and utility programs (isql, gbak, etc). You
can use isql from the command line as described in the firebird
documentation. isql should be located at
/Library/Frameworks/Firebird.framework/Resources/bin/isql
