That was not in the pdf docs I am looking at, but is in the ibase.h
file. I assume it to be something new to Firebird, or just not included
in the docs I am using.

I would imagine that to be needed if you are creating a new db or
something, but then again you could always set the dialect in the
transaction to create the new db. But I think you can only create a
transaction after the db exists and you attach to it.

So it must exist for the creation of a db to specify the base dialect of
the DB. No?

That's my guess, but I am an ignoramous when it comes to the API. I am
just getting my feet wet, as my past post will reflect. :)
