I do think FIBPlus is much more sophisticated than IBX though :)
( I have no experience with FIBP, I do with IBX - a little )

I think this part is the ease of transferring a BDE app to an IBO
app. IBO has pretty much all properties and methods implemented
that the BDE component have. This makes converting an application
really easy.

As for the rest, IBO is much more than just a simple connectivity
set - it also offers some great GUI components (if you build data-
aware applications).

If you're using Delphi 6 - you can download a trial of the dbExpress
driver I'm working on ( www.upscene.com ) - but DBX is a much
"general" layer of database access. You will not be able to use
the Firebird event-mechanism, for example.
