Subject RE: [ib-support] Database Size(after sweep)

Orlando,

I have to be honest and say that I think you're confusing the sweep
function/opration and performing a database backup/restore.

IB database only releases disk space back to the OS through a backup and
restore -- this has been true throughout my experience with IB (which
goes back to v4.0).

Accordingly, a sweep does not change the database filesize -- which is
the effect your are seeing.
