Mike,
I tend to go from the ground up.
1) Is it an IB problem?
Test by pinging server (uses TCP/IP but another port). compare on good and
bad machines
2) Do a volume copy same file to and from server.
You need to have a share on the server to do this, it will highlight bad
configs in NIC's and swriches (e.g. We have 3Com NIC's and swtiches, but
unless you tell both ends what speed to use they end up on causing problems
[not fact, but hunch]).
3) Connection strings are vital to get right see the server:drive:\path\
quotes from others.
