Count me in. I have a bit of background in java and dbs , but will need a
few pointers on the low level firebird messaging structures.

I thought it might be a good idea to kick off an informal head count of who
is willing and able to help. I can provide both Java and C++ skills. I too
need to become more familiar with the inner core of jdbc though, so I
will start looking through some of the above docs, starting with the jdbc 2
stuff.
