If you want a quick way to make a liveCD, take a look at Catalyst from the
Gentoo distribution. Firebird 1.5.2 is also available as an ebuild (sort of
apt package or rpm, for those who don't know the Gentoo portage system). It
will be without an X environment, but why put an x-server on a database
server? ;)
