"Our ace in the hole was of course pg_live. Nobody else at Linux World,
not even the mighty Oracle, had a CD that could boot up, auto configure
itself and initialize its engine within 35 seconds. This live CD
included replication with an unencumbered 8.0 engine included all the
major procedural languages and paired with a php enabled apache web
server with a postgres GUI client too. It also sported a window manager
running on top of X. All this requiring less than 120mb of RAM. Filled
with documentation that included reference materials and howtos, it
impressed people seeing pg_live running on a rather dated Pentium-II
laptop. The Microsoft centric people also came away impressed when they
understood that a windows installer of 8.0 was also included. The Ingres
people, from Computer Associates International, *were so impressed that
they came over for a visit and asked how they could create their own
live CD.*"
