I have managed to rework MoviX (movix.sf.net) distro to startup, run
Firebird and my own ncurses-based application off the CD. However, the
database had to be read-write so it had to be copyied on hard disk.

I might go back, and try to make it run completely in-memory, of
course with FlameRobin GUI. That is, if there is interest for this?
