Ah-h-h-h... I love innovation! :-)

My point is that the only way open source gets anywhere is if people make
contributions. Now, maybe the "usual" contribution is code... but why limit
yourself to just this kind of contribution? I personally do not see myself
contributing code anytime soon. But, if there was a mechanism in place that
allowed me to make a cash contribution to hire someone to write code on "my
behalf", so to speak, I would certainly do it. The faster IB is developed, the
more we all benefit.

I am assuming that at some point there will be a wish list of features. Why
not let people who are willing to kick in a little bit do so? I'm guessing
that a lot of people had money allocated for IB before the "big announcement".
Some may be willing to funnel some of this capital into a mechanism that will
help IB leap forward.
