I have put a new release out in all areas.

Also, for those who would like a look ahead, I have also put the beta for
ibo5.0.1 in the registered customer download area.

Also, due to the recent difficulties with Delphi 6 having troubles with my
code, I am contemplating dropping support for these 4 versions of Delphi:

CPPB 5 & 6
Delphi 5 & 6

I would like a sense of how much this will be a problem for anyone.
Getting these working again could require a considerably amount of my time
that I would prefer to focus on other things.

Also, if perhaps there are some in the community who can fight with the
issue I am fighting (and win it) then I will take them under wing again and
officially support them.

If, at the very least, someone will do the regression testing and identify
which versions manifest the shift from working to broken, then I will take
it from there and see if I can figure out and fix the issue.


I am also considering dropping support for all versions of Delphi prior to
2009 in the ibo version 5 development cycles. Then, I will maintain the
4.9.x branch to keep a stable and bug fixed version for the versions of
Delphi ibo version 5 no longer supports.

I can hardly tell you how extremely tedious and time consuming it is to keep
up over a dozen separate versions of compilers to support. Plus,
Borland/Embarcadero didn't make it very easy to do either. I believe my time
would be far better spent focusing on new features and better documentation.

I am hoping to hear frank and honest feedback to help me make this decision
in a way that is the best for everyone in the IBO community.
