my install seemed to work thanks to your tips. i was trying to build
with ONLY .dpk files in the \ibo directory.
I needed to add extract all the files in the \ibo directory and it
worked per the install instructions and your tips no problem (i hope).

i will know more in a couple of days when i try to connect to a firebird
table and put some data in a ibo db grid control
that is now on the component pallete.
