How are the client able to reach the server, and the correct port?
There are several possibilities, but the usual one for IB is:
1. An entry in the hosts file linking SERVER NAME to IP ADDRESS, and
2. An entry in the services file indicating the port no (3050 in this case).
Note that an extra empty line at the end of these files can be a good thing.
