I am very pleased to report that the Atkin news mirror is now back in
operation, following the untimely death of a hard drive in the previous
server unit. Fortunately, we were able to recover/transfer the archives to
the new server, so that only the last week of messages have been lost
(during the server recovery period).

I would like to thank Mark O'Donohue for his efforts in the recovery
process -- it would not have been possible without him!

Finally, with the transistion to the new server, I am pleased to announce
that we will be expanding the number of lists which are mirrored. More
details will be forthcoming in the next 2-3 weeks.
