The IBEventAlerter is not an IBO component, it is a standalone
tool from a third party. But it seems you don't use it, so I
guess it can't do any harm to you ;-)

I have never used it myself (so I cannot verify this), but I
read at IB-Support that this component spawns an own thread
and caused some grief for the person who used it due to this
fact.
