I need to know what the user has entered so far in a grid's cell, i.e. prior
to even posting in the buffers so that I can use onIsValidChar as I wish. I
cannot seem to find a property for this and onIsValidChar does not,
unfortunately, pass the latest value as a parameter.

Any ideas?
