Know exactly how you feel - tried to take on the exchange rate when it
dropped to around 10.95, thought I'd wait a bit more and suddenly back to
11.50!
Depending on what you want to do it's safer just to purchase the modules you
need - one of the beauties of IBO is its modular nature. Whilst the learning
curve is steep with the Native IBO components you can fork out a little more
and get the GETTING STARTED GUIDE - I did that last year, way before I
purchase!
Using the Tdataset compatible components is the easiest and least hassle
approach - probably fine for converting an existing PDox/dBase app. For a
new project it would be better to go the Native Component route.
All I need right now is a stable data pump utility to migrate a 450000 /
160mb paradox table without hanging the entire machine :(
