Do you have a permanent internet connection?

My own problem with Yahoo is the continual attempts to
connect when THEY try to download advertising crap.

I would love a permanent connection, then I would not have
to complain, but British Telecom will not tell me when that
might even be possible, so I am stuck with having to cope
with a dialup connection.
