Well, anyway, here is a simple solution to the problem.

When cache update is set to before edit, auto edit is enabled and the
field the user is starting the edit from has changed -> make a boink
sound, update the field, set the "form" in edit mode and cancel the
key pressed.

no fuzz, data preserved
