Thanks for the answer, Geoff.

The problem is that a PERSON record is not being inserted when a AGENT
record is. Therefore, the mastersource/links relationship between the
PERSON and the CONTACT records is not maintained.

So the question is...
On a joined dataset, how are both datasets (AGENT/PERSON) put into
insert mode when the user presses the insert button on the UpdateBar for
AGENT?
