Isn't this an old disconnecting from Interbase problem - system hangs
with 100% processor utilisation. I've had it for years and still do
occasionally. It happens with SQL Explorer, Quickdesk and any Delphi
app using IB (IBO or BDE) so I don't think it is anything to do with
IBO.
