Given what you have already discussed with Helen (that you are getting
a blob error when no blob should be involved), can you please give us
the callstack that occurs with this error.

If the error is occuring at designtime, setup a new application with
the TIB_DSQL (and TIB_Connection etc) and a button. Attach event code
to the button which attempts to prepare the TIB_DSQL. Run the app and
click the button, hopefully the error will appear and you can write
down the callstack and send it to us.

PS. Please also mention the IBO and Delphi/BCB version you are using.
