I would try using OLE Automation (COM) instead of the BDE. I have
successfully used OLE to create an excel object and pump data into it for
years. It wouldn't be much of a change to go the other direction. I have
sample code for exporting TO excel, if you're interested in seeing that
(realizing that it's not using IBO and it's been months since I've looked at
it, but you're welcome to it if you're interested.
