Not sure what you mean by "automatically". I guess you could attach a
trigger to the system tables that calls some sort of UDF to update a
value in the RDB$DESCRIPTION field, or perhaps logs the changes to a
separate table.

Alternatively, post this to IB_Support to see what other ideas they
might have.
