Venkatesh,
I just threw a connection component on a form and connected to your database
just fine. Make sure your protocol is set to cpTCP/IP on your connection
component. When accessing a local database it is set to cpLocal.

Subject: [IBO] howto remote connection

I have created an application using delphi5 and IBO which works perfectly
locally on an windows98 machine.
When I try using this program and try to connect to a remote database on a
linux box, I am not able to connect to it.
Tried testing using IBconsole (diagnoise connection) it passed all test.
Interbase locally on the linux machine is also working fine. But even with
IBconsole I am not able to register the database or access it.

What settings has to made on the linux box to make the delhi program connect
to it ?

The database is available at the following
ip 209.208.184.139
database /indiaabroad/ia.gdb
username SYSDBA
password masterkey

thanks
venkatesh
