I just got a new toshiba 5005-S504 laptop with XP home edition, did
default install of Delphi 6 Ent. and Interbase 6 server and client. Have
had no problems.
I've been working on a major project for work, hasn't locked or blue
screened (to my suprise). The only errors i get is when I do something
stupid in my code.
I haven't re-booted it in over a week, just close the lid and let it go
into hibernation mode, open the lid and back up and going in about
5-10sec. Haven't actually done a restart in over a week.
First I would check the services file and make sure the gds_db 3050/tcp
is defined there, if not add it.
If that doesn't work I would suggest something may have gone wrong
during the install. Maybe uninstall and re-install and try again.
