I don't think it makes sense to use HDR for detail datasets.
In all my experiences detail datasets do not return over 1,000 records.
Most only return a dozen at most. The size of the table the detail dataset
is going against doesn't matter as much as the number of records the detail
will bring back for the master records.

The master-detail relationship is already like a horizontal refinement of
your detail dataset.
