The above looks correct then. I was wondering if you had a typo
somewhere, it appears not. :-(

So it worked before when you didn't have Windoes 7, but now that you
have Windows 7, it fails?
Where is firebird installed? and what is the location of the
aliases.conf file?
Also, it shouldn't make a difference, but is this a 32 or 64 bit Windows
7 installation? And have you installed the corresponding "bit" size of
Firebird?
