Firebird version= 2.5.2 (actually)
Firebird version= 2.5.1 (until last Sunday)
Operating System= Windows XP SP3

The folder C:\Windows\System32\ has the file gds32.dll but not the file
fbclient.dll

The problem happened two days ago.
