Hello guys!
i'm a newbie concerning firebird and my question is really simple:
I have to install firebird 2.5.1 in our environment for the first time and my first decision to make is: on which server shall i install firebird?
It sounds logical for me to install firebird on my existing database server to hold all my databases on one single server, but this server is already running sql server 2008 r2 standard (operating system: windows server 2008 r2 standard)!
Is it clever to run both services on the same server?
Are there any incompatibilities known between both products?
Anything special to pay attention to?
thanks in advance!
alex
