I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to launch a trigger from within the server, rather than from the application. More specifically, there are certain tasks that should be done once each day. So, is there a way for Firebird to launch a stored procedure at the beginning of each new day (say, 12:01 AM) while everyone is home sleeping?
