It is possible to install another instance of a firebird server to a second
(or xth) directory and use another port to connect (which is by default 3050
It can cure all the situations you described except for administrators not
willing to install another instance.

But
1 you can not automate this installation, there are to many variables at
work here
2 you must be able to connect to the server from your application with
another port so do not hard code 3050
