Error 10054 (connection reset by peer) could be an indication of network errors, but could also simply be a case of bad connection management by a user application (eg application terminates without closing the connection), or simply the killing of an application.

Upon exit of the application its sockets are closed by the OS, triggering an error 10054 on the server side.

Looks like you are using a connection string that is interpreted as an instruction to connect to host C, which does not exist (could possibly happen with a malformed connection string pointing to a location on your C-drive).
