Actually PostgreSQL has a quite old record versioning implementation.
SQLServer one is very new indeed. But appear that is solid enough
because M$ use it to create their INSERTED and DELETED tables in
triggers (in SQL Server, triggers fire 1 time per OPERATION - different
of FB since it fire the trigger 1 time per record affected).
