I agree. However, it wasn't until I had got Firebird operational on a
mapped network drive that I was informed of the need to have the
application running from a CD.
I think my boss and I are going to have to work on our communication.

Thanks Anderson for the tip to use the Embedded version.

It might have been a good idea to say this right away: that the task is
to be able to ship a FB database on CD and be able to connect to it from

a client app. I think you would have received more adequate replies.
