I already heard about the limitations of simultaneous TCP/IP connections on
XP. Do you know which is exactly the maximum connections allowed? Anyway I
am not sure if this may be the problem because it was working fine with XP
during two months and the quantity of users didn't change.
What do you mean saying that the connections are "on hold"?

I won't ask why :) I already heard people _NOT_ changing from XP to
W2K3, but not that somebody would change back, _IF_ the system was
running fine...
My uneducated guess is that your problems are coming from the
limitation of simultaneous TCP/IP connections on XP. MS recommends to use
a server system for server tasks.
What you see probably is not that connections are terminated, but they
are probably "on hold".
