Subject Opening Windows created DB on MacOSX
Author Nathan Penny
Hi,

I'm trying to open a Firebird database, created by version 1.5, on Mac OSX using version 2.1.1. When I try, I get a Database is not valid, error status 922. From what I have read, there should be no reason it should not be able to be opened, so either the file has become corrupt, or I have a permissions problem?

I have transferred the files to a Linux machine, and successfully opened the files there under version 2.1.1. I even transferred the files from that machine to the Mac via SCP to see if that made any difference to it. I initially got the files to the Mac via an http download.

Is there anything obvious I could be missing? I have tried running isql under sudo in an attempt to get around any permissions issues there may be, though it still doesn't work.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
