There's no hard increasing, or even doubling those.

If all queries are light, I'd recommend using SuperServer instead.

And also consider using permanent connection (ibase_pconnect if you use
PHP, for example) instead of separate connection each time.

Of course, it all depends on what exactly do you mean by "website".
