easier. This worked for me with firebird2.1-classic:
1.Install Kubuntu 9.10 (Karmic)
2.Activate video drivers .
3.Use KPackage :
- Download flamerobin
- Download firebird 2.1-classic
4.sudo dpkg-reconfigure firebird2.1-classic (it will hang, but don't worry),
just close the terminal window.
5.copy database file onto machine
6.Start flamerobin to test database
I hope it will work for you with super.
However! While I managed to open with Flamerobin, I never managed to get a
connection of any sort from my Perl application. I'm still working on
that!!
